A Shadow’s Tale

Anduriel Geran was close to learning the truth behind the veil of Sith silence and secrecy.

After a lifetime spent studying the history and culture of his enemy seeking potential flaws and weaknesses that he could exploit, the Shadow had discovered that history of the Sith was incomplete.

Someone or something had deliberately edited out entire events and individuals from not only the Jedi Archives, but from the collected histories and data-banks of every known civilized world. Neither Anduriel, nor the small circle of Shadows with whom he had shared the discovery with knew what was missing, but the fact that the historical records were incomplete was an absolute certainty.

It had begun with the events on Odacer-Faustin. Captured while attempting to get a long distance reading of the ancient Sith Academy, Anduriel was made a test subject for Darth Scaberous. After six long months of imprisonment and torture, the Jedi managed to escape with the help of a bounty hunter and a redeemed Zabrak Sith apprentice named Quodis. While he would never understand why they ultimately chose to sacrifice their lives for his liberty, from that day onward Anduriel Geran had dedicated himself to the cause of relentlessly hunting down any Sith that came across his path.

Today must be my lucky day.

Silently slicing effortlessly through the security lock on a heavily reinforced control room door, the Jedi Shadow crept into the room and gazed at the helpless Sith target before him.

Gently placing his worn and notched lightsaber hilt to the back of his target’s head, Anduriel turned the power on.

Fzzzzzzt.

Moving his head closer to the smoking hole created by his blade, Anduriel leaned in and whispered,

That was for Marcus.

Visions from The Sanctum Descending into the smoky atmosphere of Nar-Shaddaa, your ship navigates a path through the complex airways of the vertical cities as it approached its destination. Arriving without incident to one of the many private hangers at the complex known only as the Sanctum, you exit your ship and survey your surroundings. Owned by a shady Devaronian by the name of Gelroos Setanu, the Sanctum is a virtual entertainment facility that doubles as an intergalactic information network and black market auction house that serves both Republican and Imperial forces without bias. The design of the Sanctum is a testament to the ingenuity of a truly paranoid mind. Each private docking bay on the lower levels of the complex connects directly to a security check point monitored by unseen force sensitive guards. Other than the owner who almost never makes a personal appearance, the only employees you see are the ubiquitous protocol and security droids which roam the hallways of the public areas. After passing through security, you are escorted to your very own secured and heavily reinforced private control booth where you may select and customize a personal holographic avatar to navigate the clubs virtual interior with. Each control booth is equipped with a state of the art entertainment system and access to hundreds of games of chance like pazaak and virtual swoop racing track. The special in-house vacuum tube vice delivery system guarantees that you can enjoy your illicit activities in the privacy of your personal control booth. Suspended from the ceiling by a strange mixture of wiring and organic material, the Foundation manufactured avatar control harness fits all sizes and races. Linked to a sensory node, it has the capability of reproducing a completely lifelike experience that has been known to fool even the most disciplined of minds. Once inside it, your digital likeness obtains the complete freedom to roam and explore the facility’s multiple virtual environments like the cantina, club, casino, arena, or black market. At any one time, there are hundreds if not thousands of users and avatars wandering throughout the various levels of the Sanctum involved in a wide variety of vices and activities.

It is ten years after the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant and once more the galaxy teeters on the brink of total war. The tenuous pact between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire has begun to dissolve as great armies prepare to mobilise on both sides, whilst renegade factions fight endlessly to defy the peace enforced upon them. The Galactic Cold War has begun to thaw. Yet in the darkness the Silent Council has waited patiently, only recently emerging from centuries of slumber. An ancient organisation as old as the Sith Emperor himself, the Council has returned to take its place in the galaxy and mould events for its own nefarious purpose. But the Council’s ambition knows no bounds, for the Voice of the Council, Darth Panopticus himself has declared a hunt for new initiates to greatly increase their numbers. Now the Council seeks the strongest and most cunning candidates from all across the galaxy. The dawning of a new chapter is close at hand. The Third Founding awaits.

Jedi Master Ven Zallow
Status: Deceased

As he lay dying, the Sith Lord Malgus told him how the Jedi Order had been deceived, and that the Republic would fall as a result. Zallow’s last sight was that of Coruscant’s Temple Precinct in flames, with scores of Sith starfighters, warships, and ground forces continuing the attack on the capital world, a battle that would culminate with the death of the Republic’s Supreme Chancellor and the destruction of the Temple itself.
